F&M Corporate Foundation Sponsors Habitat Build
F&M Bank is excited to announce that the F&M Corporate Foundation will be sponsoring a Central Valley Habitat for Humanity home build this summer. The home will be located at 955 Roberts Court on the northside of Harrisonburg.
“The selection of the Central Valley Habitat for Humanity as a beneficiary of the F&M Corporate Foundation just made sense for our organization”, says F&M Bank President, Mark Hanna. “Habitat for Humanity is founded on generosity and bringing people together to empower and improve our community. We share a common commitment to helping families realize the American dream.”
F&M Bank is dedicated to being a positive force for change in the community, and this mindset is exemplified through employee volunteerism and leadership. This summer, employees of F&M Bank and F&M Mortgage will play an active role in the construction of the property and look forward to the hands-on involvement.
On June 24th at 3pm, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at 955 Roberts Court, Harrisonburg.

F&M Bank Calendar Photo of the Month
This picture was taken on a hot July afternoon as Denise Janocka was walking in her yard. She says, “My Golden Retrievers waited for me to come to them, rather than coming to me as they usually do. They were so intently waiting, I grabbed my phone and snapped a quick picture of them as they just stayed there and posed for the picture.”
We're one month away from the deadline for our 2019 Calendar Photography Contest. Have you submitted your entries? To download an entry form, or to learn more about our contest, visit our website.

Throughout the month of April, employees donated over $600 to Anicira Veterinary Center.
Anicira offers a range of programs and services that strengthen the human-animal bond, provide veterinary care, educate the community on the humane treatment of animals, provide shelter for homeless animals and offer safe keeping services for pet families needing assistance with keeping their pets.
We hope you don't mind these dress-down days as they are for a good cause! Keep an eye out for future announcements on our Facebook page.

Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA Pet of the Month
Tip is a seven-year-old silver female kitty who has been looking for her forever home since the end of March. She is pretty shy so it can be hard for her to make new friends. She is a hide and seek champion at the shelter, and she would love to expand her skills at her new home. She might hide when you take her home, but it is nothing personal. She likes to observe her surroundings being out of sight and taking in all the wonderful new changes. Once you give her some time to adjust, a small treat of wet food goes a long way! This gal has plenty of love to give! Her adoption fee is just $30 for individuals 55+ as part of our seniors for seniors program.
Call the shelter today at 540-434-5270 to learn more about Tip, visit our website at www.rhspca.org to see more pictures, or visit the shelter at 2170 Old Furnace Road to meet her!
