Peter Wray Appointed to F&M Bank Board of Directors
F&M Bank is pleased to announce that on November 16, 2017, Peter Wray was appointed as a new Director of F&M Bank and F&M Bank Corp.
Peter Wray is the Principal Broker of Triangle Realtors, located in Staunton, Virginia. A native of Staunton, Peter now resides in Crozet, Virginia, with his wife and three sons. He has spent the majority of his life living and working in western and central Virginia. Since graduating from the University of Virginia in 1991, Peter has served in construction and real estate associated positions throughout the region, state, and country. Peter’s years of experience in the construction, real estate, and corporate management arenas have enabled him to become one of the region’s most successful commercial real estate brokers.
With the appointment of Peter Wray to the Board of Directors, another impressive and unique skill set is added to the Board. We congratulate and welcome Peter to the F&M family. (Peter Wray pictured below with Board Chairwoman, Ellen Fitzwater).
Mobile App Touch ID Update
If you have recently reset your password in online or mobile banking, and the app is not recognizing your thumbprint for sign in, be sure you have signed in once with your new password first, and then update your credentials in the app.
To update credentials on an Apple device, click "Settings", then "Touch ID".
To update credentials on an Android device, click "Settings", then "Fingerprint Authentication".
From there, you should once again be able to sign in with one-step fingerprint access.

The bear watched him taking photos for several minutes, and then it was Robert's turn to watch as he searched nearby for wild grapes on the ground, and then up among the branches of some very tall trees. The photo was taken near Fulks Run with a Canon PowerShot SX60 HS digital camera."
Casual Fridays for Charity
Throughout the month of October, employees donated $500 to Valley Program for Aging Services and Shenandoah Area Agency on Aging.
Established in 1974 as the local Area Agency on Aging, VPAS serves adults 60 years and older, and their families, in the Counties of Augusta, Bath, Highland, Rockbridge and Rockingham, and the Cities of Buena Vista, Harrisonburg, Lexington, Staunton and Waynesboro.
Throughout the Northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, the Shenandoah Area Agency on Aging (SAAA) offers a variety of high-quality services that provide in-home support, delaying or preventing a move to more costly long-term care facilities. The service area includes the counties of Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, Warren, and the city of Winchester.

Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA Pet of the Month
Mothman is a five-year-old neutered black and white cat with a unique looking mustache. This Thanksgiving he is thankful for his good looks, and he hopes soon to be thankful for a new owner. He is a low-key kind of guy who would do well in a home with other children and even better if he was the only cat. He does love being pet and sitting close to people. He is a little unsure of new things like most cats but if you bring him home he is willing to try new things. He would love if you visited the shelter at 2170 Old Furnace Road to spend time with him.
